ABOUT PAIN AND PROMISE
The program explores the multiple dimensions of pain together with hope.
Issues of war, death, longing are raised by pieces that make us disquieted and unsettled, but in other pieces, a redemptive view of humanity is offered. Works by Möller, JS Bach, Antognini, Monteverdi, Barnett, Mortensen/Sommerro, Augustinas, Tallis, Abu-Khader/de Quadros, Chilcott, Burleigh, and Elberdin, together with body imagery and improvisations.

That day when I was planning to go to your choir concert I was extremely tired, but listening to your choir concert I came home like having double wings. It was an unbelievable experience. The voices were very powerful and very expressive. The way musicians interacted with the audience, it felt that one was part of it. I was amazed that choir could sing songs in 8 different languages. The Lithuanian song was very sensitively performed. It touched me deeply. I think that this choir should perform in many countries. It is much more powerful than guns and wars. It sends a message of peace, love and tolerance to people. |
